Giulia AlteraICEEFT Certified Trainer
Dr. Giulia Altera is a Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and ICEEFT Certified EFT Trainer, Supervisor, and Therapist. She is also a Certified Schema Therapist (ISST) with advanced training in trauma and dissociation (ISSTD). Her early clinical work in forensic settings — including high-security prisons, psychiatric hospitals, and addiction services — shaped her therapeutic lens and reinforced her focus on emotional safety, attachment, and relational repair.
Giulia is co-founder of the EFT Italia Community, Director of EFT North-Italy, and an active international trainer. Fluent in Italian, English, and Portuguese, she teaches across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, where she collaborates with local leaders to support the growth of EFT communities with cultural sensitivity and sustainable development. She also teaches in postgraduate programs and presents at international conferences.
She is the creator of the D.A.R.E. Trilogy, an intensive three-part EFT training series that explores therapeutic impasses related to reactivity, withdrawal, and pursuer softening—turning moments of rupture and emotional survival into opportunities for clinical transformation. Her trainings are known for their experiential depth, emotional resonance, and clinical clarity, particularly in the areas of trauma, Stage 1 work, shame, and emotional corrective experiences.
Giulia has contributed to the translation of core EFT texts — including Hold Me Tight, Attachment Theory in Practice, and the EFIT Primer — into both Italian and Portuguese, and is the author of several book chapters on trauma, couples therapy, and clinical applications of attachment theory.
